While a 3D Landmark complex plus contains many modelled details like flags, turrets, balconies, stairs with banisters, columns, sills, ledges, rain gutters, etc. for a 3D Landmark basic recognition of the object will be most important and details will be omitted on purpose.

3D Landmarks basic are particularly suitable for applications in navigation devices, PDAs and mobile phones.
Simplified design and data reduction, for example by using a texture atlas, make it possible to depict the 3D Landmarks adequately detailed and ensure a fast performance.

Of course we produce 3D Landmarks according to your specifications. The definitions displayed here come from practical experience but we always adjust levels of detail (LoD) to our customer’s needs.
